We want to applaud the hard work of BlackHorse's founder and creator, and as the new custodians, hope we can do her justice and make her a little proud!

BlackHorse Equestrian creates apparel, footwear, and rainwear specifically for the Australian Equestrian market - with a view to becoming Global leaders specialising in Lightweight Edits for Tropical, Subtropical and Arid climates, as well as designing functional and stylish Winter and Trans-Seasonal pieces.

After a lifetime working in high fashion and technical outdoor brands Kristen Fleet is thrilled to be the new owner of her all-time favourite brand, BlackHorse. Kristen has been riding for 40+ years and is passionate about her Lusitanos, Working Equitation and Classical Dressage (with a little Cowboy Dressage thrown in for good measure!).

“I want to bring technical, outdoor fabrics into the equestrian space but in a beautiful and all-inclusive way. We are all athletes of various ages, shapes and sizes - we might compete, trail ride, have glorious adventures or just dote on a paddock ornament. We all love horses for many different reasons. We want to be comfortable, and feel and look great following our passion."

BlackHorse has always been renowned for its great fits, catering for all shapes and sizes - and that won’t change. You can still expect quality and durable, functional fabrics combined with beautiful prints and patterns, which are designed for real equestrians throughout Australia and the world – all done with a little Aussie humour and always with a passion for horses and the people who love them.
